Cancer.... has taken the life of someone who I had a huge amount of respect for. It's taken the life of someone who I'd never even met but now feel I've known like a friend all my life. It's also changed or interrupted life plans and been a complete pain in the arse for so many other people that I know, know a little or don't even know at all.
A Confession.... Those that know me well will know that I've been banging on about 'doing something'. Some volunteering, 'a little run' - something to get my teeth into. It was the evening of the Michael Jackson Memorial.... a bottle of red wine (and yeah, a few tears...!) later, and I decided to log on, pay my fee and register for the 10k. I decided to 'start with the man in the mirror'... Complete cheese I know, but I am nothing if honest!
