My story
Thanks for visiting my fundraising page !
Im currently working super hard to get my self into better shape for this charity run. Im on a strict gym regime and healthy diet to ensure I dont collapse into a big wheezing heap after 5 minutes. Not to mention running round the streets of Bristol in an attempt to get used to running on tarmac.
Its a brilliant cause and id really appreciate it if you could spur me on by donating a bit of money ! Im fairly lazy, and havnt done long distance running for YEARS. Its definatly going to spur me on loads more if I know theres a big interweb-wad of cash on the way to the charity. I have actual parsnips in the fridge ! And havnt had Chinese food in weeks. I think that merits a few quid even if nothing else does.
You can feel smug about yourself for having helped out that little bit, without even having to get out of your chair. And can feel even smugger that im hauling myself around Finsbury park in front of tons of people.
On a more serious note, these days id be suprised to find someone who didnt know a person who has been affected by cancer. Its a terrible illness, and its heartbreaking to watch someone you love suffer so accutely. You never get over the injustice of losing them, and I really want to help all involved. If you all donate just £5 each, thats loads of money that goes towards helping fight this.
£5 is hardly anything, its a bought lunch instead of a packed one. Its a couple of pints, or a tub of Ben&Jerry's, or whatever your vice is. Skip it once, and help make a difference !
