My first ever Race for Life was on Saturday 7th June 2008. My friend and I did a fast walk and finished it 53 minutes. It was a lovely hot day and we enjoyed it
However, I couldn't help but feel that I could have done better. So I have signed up to to this 10k run to inspire me to REALLY train, get fit and lose weight.
The back panels at the Race for Life were encouragement enough to continue to raise money for this worthwhile charity, as well as my friends who are continuing to fight this horrible disease. I thought of them every step of the Race for Life and I will be thinking of them every step of the 10k too.
Once again I say to anyone reading this, thank you for your support whether enouragement alone, or if you feel able to make a donation to Cancer Research that is even better. Thank you for looking at my page.

An update on 31 July 2008: I ran in another Race for Life on Sunday and managed to do 5k in 37 mins, 42 seconds so my training is going ok! Sadly, that same evening, my Godmother died. Thank you to all of my sponsors so far, every penny will go towards finding ways to treat Cancer.
I finished "Run 10k" in 1 hour, 12 mins and 43 seconds. I am so pleased about that as the weather was awful.
