This year, we, as a family, came up close and got personal with the big C. Up until then, it was relatively distant. Faye's working in the area of oncology clinical trials brought us quite close to the reality of cancer but it was still just a disease - a really bad disease that we were working very hard to fight.
And then, just like that, it became our personal fight. Where we stand today, we know there really is no answer to the question 'why us'. All there is, is a renewed appreciation of life and people, and a desire to seize the moment and live it to the full.
This is why, we're doing it again. We are running 10km to raise money to fund research into cures/support for cancer.
The fight against cancer continues with organisations and individuals, big and small, working tirelessly to conquer it. This is our little way of saying Thank You to them and we request your wholehearted support.
The money you donate will go directly to Cancer Research UK. If you would prefer to donate locally, please do. We know you will support us in spirit. Please also come and cheer us on, if you happen to be in the area on the day.
