There have been far too many people in my life who have been affected by cancer. I lost my sister in law, Donna and my Auntie, Gill. My dad has beaten bowel cancer and I was diagnosed with breast cancer in August 2008. I have had to endure three operations and over six months of chemotherapy to be here today. Running has been of the few things that kept me sane during my treatment, despite the fact that somedays it took me all my time just to make it to the end of the road!!

When I heard about this 10k run, I just had to take part. My treatment has now ended ( thank goodness!) and I'm back to my normal way of life, work, running, weight training and having fun.
